Our History
Dallas County Hospital, originally owned by Dallas County, has been in operation since May 4, 1958. From 1982 to 2002 there was a change in ownership and National Healthcare took over Dallas County Hospital. On September 13, 2002, Dallas County took ownership of the hospital again and renamed it Board of Governors of Dallas County Medical Center D/B/A Dallas County Medical Center.
DCMC obtained Critical Access status on October 1, 1999. DCMC employs an average of 130 full-time and part-time staff. DCMC offers a wide range of services including: In-Patient Acute Care, Swing Bed, 24-hour ER services, ln-House Laboratory, Radiology, Respiratory, Physical Therapy, Rural Health Clinics, Wound Clinic and Out-Patient Clinics.
Out-Patient Clinics are offered through the hospital serving areas which include Cardiology, Orthopedics and Wound. Dallas County Medical Center prides itself in quality medical care delivered by professional healthcare providers.
